Scottish Forest Road
SPS have supplied Concrete Mattresses to build a new road at a remote location in a Forest in Scotland. Previous problems had been experienced at times of bad weather. Since the laying of the concrete mattresses, heavy trucks can now operate on the road throughout the year.
Chevron EGP 3B
Working for Acergy France, SPS have estabilished a production facility in Warri Nigeria to manufacture Concrete Mattresses for the Chevron EGP 3B project.
SPS also designed and supplied a multi mattress installation frame to allow for efficient time saving deployment of the mattresses.
Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm
Subsea Protection Systems secured a contract to supply Rock Filter Bags, Pipe Collars & J-Tube Stabilisation Blocks for the Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm.
Our team are working with VSMC to design these purpose made J-Tube Stabilisation Blocks.
BG Hasdrubal
In 2008 Subsea Protection Systems was awarded a contract by Saipem for the design and supply of Concrete Mattresses & Dropped Object Protection Covers for the BG Hasdrubal project.
Due to the size, weight and large number of covers required, SPS set up a production facility at the mobilisation port in Gabes, Tunisia.
BP Angola Block 31
The BP Angola Programme currently focuses on the development of four projects within the Angolan Offshore Block 31. The strategy employed for each development is to use a centrally located Floating Production Storage and Offloading with subsea 'offline' mainifolds and clustered wells located in water depths up to a maximum design of 2500m.
SPS supplied Concrete Logmats and Concrete Fleximats to be used as pipeline crossing piers and pipeline protection to Heerema & Technip France. As well as the Concrete Mattresses SPS also designed and supplied multi-mat lift installation frames to allow efficient time saving & deployment of the mattresses at these depths.
Greater Gabbard Wind farm
In 2010, Subsea Protection Systems were awarded a contract by Fluor to supply Concrete Fleximats and Concrete Fleximats with Anti-Scour Frond Mats attached, to protect the cables of the Greater Gabbard Wind farm.
The Greater Gabbard Wind farm is a 500MW wind farm under construction on sandbanks 23km off the coast of Suffolk, England. Onshore construction activities commenced in early July 2008 and 140 3.6MW turbines have been constructed. It is currently the world's largest offshore windfarm under construction.
Due to the large volume of Concrete Mattresses required, SPS set up a manufacturing base in Harwich close to the mobilisation quay.
Rasgas Qatar
Manufactured in Salwa, Qatar.
Crossing Supports for Rasgas Expansion Project Phase 2 offshore pipelines and transport of Supports to Mesaieed Port, maximum individual Support weight approximately 74 Te - SPS client J Ray McDermott.
